27 September 2011: UEFA Champions League Predictions

UEFA Champions League

The UEFA Champions League is back Tuesday s fixtures should not disappoint. Some of the Europe s biggest clubs will be in action, with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Inter Milan all taking part in the competition.

Like many others, Sir Alex Ferguson had nothing compliments for the competition.

The Champions League is the best competition in the world now, better than the World Cup, better than the European Championships, it s a fantastic tournament.

Team to Watch: Manchester City

City are coming off a disappointing 1-1 home draw at the hands of Italian side Napoli. Roberto Mancini will be seeking three points, but a draw would not be the end of the world for City.

Will Roberto Mancini re-tighten t…

NFL Player Prop Bets for Week 14: Don't Be Frightened by Scary Terry

The NFL season is in the home stretch and with it comes a ton of opportunistic prop markets. We’re looking into every market to uncover some of the week’s best side, team, player, and derivative prop bets, doing the heavy lifting so you don’t have to!

We’re adding to our Week 14 card and betting on a tight end with a projected expanded role, fading a Giants’ pass-catcher, sporting a Chuba, and finally hitting the Over on a receiver with one of the league’s best air yard shares.

Without further ado, we bring you our free NFL prop picks for Week 14.

Packers vs Bills SNF Prop Bets: Allen and Davis Shine, Jones Struggles

Josh Allen has been one of the best quarterbacks in prime time and his Buffalo Bills enter Sunday Night Football as NFL odds double-digit favorites at home vs. a desperate Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

Despite a likely positive game script, I’m all in on Allen and the passing game Sunday night, especially with the extra week to prepare and get healthier at receiver. Rodgers and his offense will be in even more trouble with Allen Lazard likely out and the run game nonexistent.

I brek down my three favorite NFL player props for this matchup in my free NFL prop picks for Sunday Night Football between the Packers vs. the Bills. Be sure to also check out Jason Logan’s full game betting preview before these teams square off Sunday.

Finding the best value on NFL odds has become just a little bit easier, as most sportsbooks routinely offer odds boosts and sportsbooks promos on select betting markets.

These promotions are specially curated offers, which range from sportsbook to sportsbook, that can offer users enhanced prices on NFL player props, sides, totals, and NFL futures, popular parlays, or entice users a create an account at a new sportsbook.

Sometimes you get a 25% better value on a superstar to score a touchdown, or a chance to get more value on your favorite bet of the week — regardless of the offer, these promotions frequently provide bettors with a chance to extra value for their NFL Week 14 predictions.

Cincinnati Bengals Odds, Predictions & Season Preview for 2024: Blonde Ambition

The Cincinnati Bengals were among the elite for a very short time last season. From Week 5 to Week 10, the Bengals scared the crap out of the rest of the NFL.

They ranked Top 5 in many advanced metrics and went 4-1 SU and ATS in that span, including wins over Buffalo and San Francisco. That hot stretch came on the heels of a 1-3 SU start due to Joe Burrow’s calf strain in camp and ended with Burrow suffering a season-ending wrist injury in Week 11. Cincinnati finished the year 4-4 SU and 3-4-1 ATS.

The NFL odds haven’t forgotten Cincy’s sizzle in that small window, installing the Burrow-led Bengals as favorites in 14 of their 17 games. They have a season win total of 10.5 (Over -140) and sit among the frontrunners in the futures markets…

Real Madrid embattled before clásico but Barcelona are barely better

The Manchester City fans high in the north-east stand of the Bernabéu who belted out Blue Moon weren’t the only ones who had enjoyed watching Real Madrid lose on Wednesday night. For Barcelona supporters, any defeat for their rivals is to be celebrated and all the more so if it is inflicted by Pep Guardiola, but this carried still greater significance, bringing a surge of hope. As City fans sang in the stadium, 370 miles away Sport prepared its front page. The picture showed the manager pointing, by the headline: “Pep, you show us the way.”

Four days later Barcelona follow City into the same arena seeking the same outcome. From Guardiola to Lionel Messi, it is the stuff of nightmares for Madrid. Their vulnerability suddenly exposed, t…

Remember All Those Other Times Colin Cowherd Said Racist Shit On ESPN?

A Dwight Schrute cosplayer named Colin Cowherd said some really dumb things about Dominicans on ESPN Radio Thursday. Besides being wrong in several particulars, Cowherd’s musings were insulting and racist. On Friday, Cowherd addressed the rant during his show. Rather than apologizing or satisfyingly explaining his point, he blamed Deadspin for taking his words out of context. (They didn’t sound any better with additional context.) Later on Friday, ESPN announced that Cowherd had effectively been fired: At first this looks like a brave stand by ESPN, sending a strong message that the four-letter-network won’t pay for and promote ignorant, hateful speech. The problem here is that according to Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand, Cowherd’s final day with the network was actu…

Women’s Super League 2021-22 previews No 3: Birmingham City

The plan

A wholesale changing of the guard in the West Midlands has seen Birmingham spend the summer acquiring a new manager, a new coaching staff, a new home and, virtually, a new team.

If any WSL club needed to “rip it up and start again”, it was this one. After all, as recently as April Birmingham’s entire playing staff sent a letter to the board emphasising that inadequate infrastructure and substandard training conditions were preventing them from doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. As Harriet Scott, a key defender who combines playing with studying for a degree in medicine, put it at the time: “The players deserve support. The women’s game deserves better.”

Women’s …
